Our client, a US-based start-up, needed to build a crowdfunding search engine to provide accurate social sentiment analysis and predictive modelling for global crowdfunding investors. Our client needed to build a Kayak.com-style aggregator website and crowdfunded project search engine. The goal was to develop a cutting-edge crowdfunding decision making platform coupled with social sentiment analysis on a massive scale to attract global investors.

Solution

After a discovery phase, CyByte’s team of experts designed and developed a robust solution comprising of – 1) Highly responsive web application, 2) Data Mart to store data related to crowdfunding projects from top 8 social networks and 3) Analytics platform. Development required combining multiple tools and technologies including Talend, Hadoop and MongoDB to consolidate and process the humongous volumes of structured and unstructured streaming data from Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, Tumblr, YouTube, and Reddit. The web application included a data visualization platform for accredited investors to analyze the crowdfunding project data, business plan and social sentiment in several perspectives.
