Client: US-based leading digital marketing agency.

Business Challenge

A leading regional digital marketing agency’s core business involved usage of multiple marketing & automation tools to promote their respective customers in the digital marketing space. As a result, large volumes of data were generated into the individual tool’s data silos but isolated from a common viewpoint making it tedious to identify the ROI each tool delivered to a customer. Though customers were able to see the positive change in the marketing initiatives initiated by the agency, they were unable to pinpoint the ROI for each marketing dollar spent. CyByte was approached to solve this unique data puzzle by:

  • Help setup a data integration solution connecting all marketing data to analyse, discover patterns and feed them into the agency’s in house Analytics Platform.
  • Extract structured and unstructured data to process the information.
  • Develop an alternative for traditional in house ETL solution.
  • Minimize total cost of ownership.
  • Marketing Tools Involved – Ad Platforms (Google, Bing, Facebook, Yahoo), Marketo, Eloqua, Ion Interactive, Cake, Salesforce, Keen.

Solution

With the multitude of data tools involved, CyByte kick-started with a discovery phase mapping 5 tools first to analyse the data being collected at each source. As the data volume and velocity was addressed, all of the data was collected in a central repository. Here an individual customer was picked at a time and all the data relevant to the particular customer was connected and mapped thus integrating the customer and their different sources of data.

CyByte proposed a hybrid/cloud data integration solution for structured as well as unstructured data with the help of Open Source tools and technology namely – Talend, PostGre, Amazon Web Services, Linux, Java, JSON, Ad platform REST APIs and Marketing Platforms SDKs.

Results

Before approaching CyByte, the agency was lost in the black holes of the mass data. They were unable to visualize how their unstructured data could be organized and wondered whether it would be possible to collect these needles from the data haystack. The proposed solution was able to extract data in a way where spending on each Ad platform for every customer could be tracked, patterns could be identified and used for forecasting. Additionally, the solution also facilitated identification of the best performing marketing channel amongst the multiple channels for each customer’s unique needs. CyByte bought the WOW element with their comprehensive proposal thus driving customer satisfaction, efficient customer collaboration and carving a channel for the agency to acquire new customers on the basis of this unique tool/process.

Client: US-based funded startup.

  • "Build a social sentiment analysis crowdfund decision platform for global investors"
  • Solution Areas: CyByte Digital, CyByte Data

Challenge

A US-based startup firm came to CyByte seeking to develop a Kayak.com-style search engine for the crowdfunding industry. Their goal was to create a single system that would :

  • Consolidate data from over 200 websites across the globe.
  • Collect related information from the top seven social networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+, Instagram, YouTube and Reddit) about those crowdfunding projects.
  • Provide analytics that would be useful for potential donors seeking to make investments in crowdfunding projects.

Solution

To meet this challenge, we used a combination of various technologies. We began by crafting a big data solution using Hadoop, Talend and LAMP to process the huge volumes of structured and unstructured data and then created a custom API (as a low-cost alternative to GNIP.com) to extract data from the necessary social media networks.

We next developed a NoSQL database to store and process unstructured data and used Semantria API to perform analysis on social network data. We were then able to create an automated “matchmaking” tool between potential investors and startups based on the profile settings of both. In addition, we created a custom CRM module and a custom advertisement module for the client.

Tools

  • Hadoop
  • Talend
  • MongoDB
  • LAMP
  • HTML5
  • Bootstrap
  • Facebook, Twitter, Google, Reddit, Instagram and LinkedIn SDK’s
  • FusionCharts (data visualization)
  • Searchbug (investigation API)
  • Semantria (Sentiment Analysis Engine)
  • CometChat (audio/video chat platform)

Results

Released on time and below budget. 80% savings through non-GNIP social media integration module and data integration tool selection.

Client: Global provider of B2B insurance products.

  • "Enable our executives to use their devices to access all our data sources - especially Tableau"
  • Solution areas: CyByte Data, CyByte Digital, CyByte Connect

Challenge

A leading US-based insurance firm needed a tool that would handle their rapidly growing customer base while maintaining complete data security. The client known for providing B2B solutions for auto manufacturers had been using Microsoft technologies for ETL/DataMart and Tableau for data visualization however, due to the rapid growth of their customer base, the Tableau interface had become cost-prohibitive and lacked the flexibility needed for customization and role-based security.

In addition, there was an immediate need for a single reporting platform, as employees were generating reports using SSRS, Tableau and spreadsheets based on different data sources.

Solution

A single enterprise data warehouse and reporting platform was designed and implemented.

We created a responsive user interface for analytics using an open source/LAMP stack. A custom wrapper was developed to utilize Tableau’s built-in data visualization components. We consolidated the client’s enterprise-wide security databases to eliminate redundancy, and implemented role-based security.

Tools

  • LAMP
  • HTML5
  • Tableau SDK
  • SSRS

Results

Security, usability and license savings metrics were achieved. User adoption eased 70% in three months. Project completed on time and below budget. 80% savings through non-commercial tool selection.

Client: U.S. leader in medically -integrated wellness centers.

  • "We're wrestling with manual rework, HL7 compliance and data silos"
  • Solution Areas: CyByte Health, CyByte Data, CyByte Digital

Challenge

A US-based market leader in the management of medically integrated fitness centers was struggling due to the use of multiple systems. Their staff was spending too much time on data entry instead of being able to focus on customer service, leading to lower and longer referral conversion rates and poor member management. In addition, the disparate databases resulted in a lack of analytics data.

Initially, the client received post-surgery rehab referrals from hospitals in the form of a fax message. Information about the patient referral was then entered by staff into a CRM system. Customer service staff then followed up with the patient to convert the referral to a member of the fitness center. If patient became a member, the staff had to enter the patient’s information again in a different system used for member management. In rehab, the new patient’s initial physical assessment was entered into yet another software system. Adding to all of this, the referring physician had no way to monitor the progress of the patient in rehab.

Solution

We created an HL7 interface with EMR to automate the flow of referrals into the client’s CRM, funneling the converted member’s data into an assessment software and member management system. The secure HL7 can send messages back to the referring physician to update him or her on the progress of patient’s rehab.

We developed an enterprise data warehouse to integrate data from all sources including the CRM, assessment software, the member management system, customer portals and payment platforms. We also facilitated an analytics platform for our client’s administration staff, referring physicians and patients. Finally, we developed a web and mobile-responsive enterprise portal to provide a single, secure gateway for employees, eliminating the need to open and use multiple software applications to serve a single customer the client.

Tools

  • Talend
  • Mirth
  • HL7
  • Java
  • LAMP
  • MS SQL Server
  • HTML5
  • Bootstrap

Results

Physicians now have visibility into their patients progress, resulting in improved outcome metrics. 70% savings through data integration tool selection. Project completed on time and below budget.
